Doug Elmendorf, whose federal posts have included the Federal Reserve Board, U.S. Treasury Department, Council of Economic Advisors, and Congressional Budget Office, focuses his research on macroeconomics and fiscal policy. He is co-editor of the Brookings Papers on Economic Activity and director of The Hamilton Project, an initiative that develops policy proposals to achieve shared economic growth.
